Locate A Nearby Henderson Dental Clinic

If you live in one of the four main cities within the immense Las Vegas Valley - Las Vegas & North Las Vegas, as well as neighboring Henderson and Boulder City - there are undoubtedly many dental practices near where you work or live.

*** Hidden Dental Practices ***

Some dental offices you might be aware of, but most you probably aren’t.

That’s because despite there being 1,200 plus dentists in the Vegas Valley, their offices may be off the main thoroughfare or blended-into modern look-alike strip-mall architecture.

*** The Phone Book ***

Of course, there’s always the phone book.

In fact, the Las Vegas Valley Embark Yellow Pages has 66 pages of listings for dentists!

So, good luck using the phone book to find a close clinic.

Plus, as you’re probably already aware, the phone book is being gradually replaced by the internet more and more each day.

In addition, only the dentists who can afford to cough up a lot of money (thousands a year) get the huge, full or half-page multi-colored yellow page ads that get a greater response rate.

The standard listings are all but worthless.

Please remember that the ad has zero bearing on the quality of care provided.

Don’t be misled…

*** The Big Valley ***

Another thing to consider is that the Las Vegas Valley encompasses a vast amount of real estate.

In fact, it’s approximately 600 square miles incorporating around 65 zip codes.

Now, it’s clear that the average person will be as selective about their dentist as they are their church.  And they don’t mind making some sacrifices along those lines.

In other words, people will normally travel quite a distance to get what they truly need or want.

*** Driving And Stress ***

Given the option, of course, not many people would want to drive across town for any reason if they didn’t need to.

Now add something like a dental appointment and you have a perfect recipe for a stress double whammy.

Ok then, we’ve established that less driving is better.

So, once more, what’s the best way to locate a local dentist?

*** Use The Internet ***

These days, with the possible exception of word-of-mouth, your best bet is the internet.

So, there are four cities in a 600 square mile area with 65 zip codes and in excess of 1,200 dentists.

Where to begin?

Go to your favorite search engine - we recommend Google because it offers certain features other search engines don’t.

*** Use The Right Search Terms ***

Type something like this into the search box: local dentist, or nearby Henderson Cosmetic Dentist.

If you are in need of a specialist, you can use terms like these: Boulder City Prosthodontist or North Las Vegas children’s dentist.

In fact, Google, Yahoo and MSN’s search algorithms are now so advanced, they can tell where you are searching from and display ads and listings relevant to your city.

You can try this out by just typing something like: find a family dentist, local implant dentist or even just the root term itself, like: periodontist or senior’s dentist.

Also, with most search engines, you can just type in a term and your zip code to get focused regional results.

From there, you can also use the maps function to see exactly where a specific listing is in proximity to your home or work.

One of the great benefits of this feaure is the ability to view and print-out both a map and turn-by-turn driving directions.

So, input search terms like the following to get super targeted: oral hygienist 88905 , family dentist 89081 or you might even try something like: teeth whitening 89032.

You don’t have to use words like “a” or “an”, because the search engines automatically overlook those words anyway.

The majority of searchers enter full sentences.  But in reality, Google (and other search engines) perform better without the use of adverbs.

*** The Search Listings ***

Be advised in advance about what you’ll probably find.

The web is full of poor quality sites, including the majority of dental sites.

A great number of dental related sites are poorly constructed commercial directories that list only a select few dentists.

The reason for this is because only the dentists who have paid the directory owner for a listing will be found there.

All others will NOT be among the available choices, so you are only exposed to a tiny sample of existing dental practices.

As time goes by you’ll see more and more dental practices with their own websites as well as fewer and fewer junky sites listed.

Unfortunately, the average dentist can only be found several pages deep in search engine listings for common terms like those given earlier.

*** It’s All About Marketing ***

In other words, they are as invisible on the web as their offices seem to be in the community.

Clearly, becoming a dentist doesn’t also include an education in business and marketing.

So, it’s no wonder finding a suitable local dentist can end up being more of a challenge than one might initially think.

In the end, it’s only those dental practices who effectively place and market themselves within the community who are the most successful.

And because of the increase in customers these clinics receive, they also receive more personal referrals from those customers.

*** Persistence Pays ***

It may take some time and effort, but you will be able to find a local dentist’s office.

We hope the information presented will be of value to you.
